a romantic getaway

the hotel's art deco design really captured our hearts! kind staff members greeted us always with a smile. the candy in the lobby reminded me of such a sweet, unexpected treat, and the environmentally friendly options they provided showed a gentle consideration. the stay became instantly nice.
The rooftop pool had hours that ended too early in the evening. It closed at 5pm, so there was only a short time to enjoy it during sunset.

uncomfortable beddim lighting
i was a little disappointed about a few things. the bed felt a little uncomfortable to me. i also noticed the shower was hard to use and the bathroom had pretty dim lighting. i seen some mold spots in the tub too. there was also no hooks to hang towels so they could dry, it was a small thing, but i noticed it.

I chose a beautiful king room lake view and the view was AMAZING. the room had two separate sinks, i think thats really great. also, the super nice team and always smile. Thats important.
The gym was a little bit too small. There were only 2 treadmills. i noticed some dust under the bed. This is not good. there weren't enough towels at the pool. I had to ask for it.

i found the staff attentive. the valet manager, jose, were really nice too assist with our car and luggage. he even helped translate part of a wedding speech into spanish, it added a special touch. the hotel's location offered a great chance to roam around the city.
The thermostat seemed set on a motion sensor. I woke up sweating as the air conditioner turned off when i fell asleep. It was a minor inconvenience.

The staff was friendly and helpful, offering assistance with directions and reservations. Alison, the customer care person, ensured our rooms were connected. the somerset restaurant staff were wonderful and expedited food service for children. it was good!

The location is very close to michigan avenue and the lake. The rooms were well appointed, it included a full-length mirror. charging ports were available everywhere and the crib was stocked with extra bedding. i felt cared for!

The somerset restaurant provided quick and attentive service. The staff was particularly accommodating to families with young children. the rooftop bar offered unique views. It provided a great spot for evening relaxation. i will be back.
